Perfect for dehydrating hydrocarbon solvents in vapor phase.
Molecular Sieve Beads 4A are used in beds, mainly within sealed gas/vapor volumes or streams, to sequester water and molecules smaller than 4.2 angstroms, while excluding larger compounds. The ionic active sites capture polar molecules (water, ammonia, methanol, etc.), and allow any smaller, inert gas phase molecules to escape.
Molecular Sieve Beads 4A are compressed and thermally hardened spherical pellets, measuring 2.5-5mm in diameter, of Type A zeolite with sodium cations (Na+) and a buffered alkaline pH of 10.5. Molecules enter a crystalline lattice through openings measuring 4.2 angstroms (Å), accessing an internal network of ionically polarized adsorption sites.
Molecular Sieve Beads 4A has a particle size of 2.5mm-5mm and a basic pH of 10.5.
